Walter White’s death on Sunday’s Breaking Bad finale has been immortalized by his hometown Albuquerque Journal, which ran an obituary for the character.

The photo chosen is from his pre-Heisenberg days. No hat:

Walt is listed as co-founder of Gray Matter – which ended up being a key plot point –  and died from a “long battle with lung cancer, and a gunshot wound.”

Skyler, meanwhile, apparently dropped the White surname.

In lieu of flowers for the fallen meth kingpin, the notice of his death says “donations can be made to a drug abuse prevention charity of your choice.”

The Albuquerque Journal says the obituary for the iconic TV character was designed, written and paid for by a group of die-hard Breaking Bad fans.

That’s awesome.
